  • Mass prayer held in Kanana

    Lentswe, Kanana - Kama arranged a vibrant and special service over the weekend that brought different churches to worship together in Kanana. The Mass Prayer Meeting, held on April 21 at the St Emmanual AME Church, was graced by different denominations from Kanana and Jouberton. This event was held to pray for crime in Kanana and local townships, national elections, and peace in the Middle East. 

     
  • No cholera cases in NW - Dept of Health

    Lentswe, Klerksdorp - One person has died as a result of cholera and there are 12 laboratory-confirmed cases since January in South Africa. The National Department of Health released these figures this week and issued a warning for the Vaal River, the main source of water for Gauteng and North West.

     
  • Police investigate double murder

    Lentswe, Orkney - There are still no new leads on the execution style murders on the banks of the Schoonspruit close to Kanana of two men believed to be Zama-Zamas. Orkney Police are investigating the double murder after two unknown bodies were found close to the Schoonspruit between Orkney and Kanana on Friday morning, April 19. A pedestrian alerted the police after he saw the bodies, which were found in bags. One of the bodies was floating and the other was next to the river.
