On Friday, 10 August, the staff of Rustenburg Police station undertook a clean-up campaign aimed at making the police station look clean. As part of Women’s month the Rustenburg Police station saw it fit to organise a few of its staff members to cut the grass and pick up litter. They are pictured here hard at work making the environment look better than what it used to be.

A swift response by the Flying Squad led to a recovery of a Ford Ranger in Meriting that was recently reported stolen in Rustenburg. According to Captain Elsabe Augoustides, spokesperson for the police in Rustenburg the police were following a tracker signal of the stolen vehicle and upon arrival at the scene the suspects fled. No arrests have been made this far and investigations are continuing.
RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - On Friday, 27 July, the world has witnessed the longest lunar eclipse to date, which lasted for anything from 120 minutes to four hours in some places. The reason for this so-called “perfect” eclipse, was the fact that the moon was in perfect alignment with the sun and earth with the moon exactly in the middle of the Earth and the sun.
