Well - done!

5045 litres of water was raised for Cape Town in one week. Well-done to Da Silva Academy Primary School on a job well-done on another successful outreach program. Thank you to Ms Rudolph and the rest of the team, parents and learners for all your contributions. In the picture we have Ms Rudolph, Ms Van Der Berg, Motheo Zimba (Head Girl), Tshedimogo Makwakwa (Head Boy), Onthatile Maboe, Kaone Mfulwane, Tshepang Branden Makgorometje, Kananelo Molokwane, Yeabsira Tadesse, Tumelo Hinde and Thoriso Maikwtswane.

RUSTENBURG HERALD-RUSTENBURG- Boshoek Smelter, a Glencore Merafe Chrome Venture operation, partnered with GreenSource, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local government school to build a combined synthetic turf and water storage and filtration system. In an effort to create sustainable communities, Boshoek Smelter unveiled the state of the art, combined synthetic turf and water storage and filtration system, at Boshoek Primary School.

Waar’s Noag se ark - hier’s water vir Afrika!!

RUSTENBURG HERALD - RUSTENBURG - Dis amper of die sondvloed aangebreek het - water, water net waar jy kyk en steeds het meer en meer water (en geld) aangerol gekom.
Nee, toemaar, darem nie heeltemal nie, maar by die Laerskool Vastrap het dit verlede Vrydag amper gelyk asof Noag se ark hier vlot sou kon bly nadat 'n groep Rustenburgse mammas en ouers van leerders by Vastrap besluit het "droog genoeg is droog genoeg!" en 'n projek van stapel gestuur het om water vir die droogtegeteisterde Kaapstad bymekaar te maak. Die projek het onder die mammas momentum gekry na 'n pleidooi van die mammas se vriendin in die Kaap - Marli Klynsmith - ('n onderwyseres van die Laerskool Jan van Riebeeck) - dat die Kaap dringend water nodig het.
