    CYCLIST KILLED

    A cyclist was killed after being knocked down by a bakkie on the N12 outside Klerksdorp on Monday 14 August. According to Ineke van Huyssteen, ER24 spokesperson, they arrived on the scene at 12:56 where they found the man lying a few meters from his bicycle. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene by ER24. The police are investigating a case of culpable homicide. Photo: ER24.

    Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Matlosana Business Chamber has requested the municipal manager, Roger Nkhumise to look into the long delays in the processing of clearance figures and certificates at the municipality. Chairperson Johan Oosthuizen says that other municipalities are able to provide clearance figures via electronic communication within a few days. “Once payment is made, the certificates are ready within a few days. But at our local Municipality, this is not the process or time frames,” he says.
