Nativity: A story of hope

Nativity is a charming, hilarious, and heartwarming movie about hope, unity, and the true Christmas spirit. The movie can be seen on M-Net at 21:30 on Saturday December 4.

The movie stars an ensemble South African cast that brings that perfect local festive flavour, humour, and familiarity to your screens. Nativity stars Loren Loubser, renowned theatre actor and director David Isaacs, June van Merch, known for her outstanding role on Sara se Geheim and Barakat, Maree Kim Louise, Roberto Kyle who starred on Arendsvlei, and Royston Stoffels, the former star of the classic soccer drama Shooting Stars.

The story centres on a group of funny, driven, and charismatic locals who come together to try to save the beloved Zonnebloem Community Hall (affectionately referred to as Zonnies) from foreclosure.

In order to save Zonnies and ultimately save Christmas, the group decide to host a local Christmas revue to raise funds to keep the town hall afloat. However, this is easier said than done.

With clashing personalities coming together, there’s bound to be drama, fun, and good cheer! They encounter several mishaps along the way such as budget cuts, butting heads, and blackmail!  Now that’s one big festive dilemma, and they need to pull it all off in time to give the community the perfect Christmas gift!

The revue teaches them valuable lessons, makes them examine their own lives, and see the true meaning of Christmas.
