Klerksdorp Record, Hartbeesfontein - A small family owned business that was started in a garage in this small farming community has transformed into a fully-fledged business employing 200 people. The powder ginger beer business, Supa Ginja experienced dramatic growth during lockdown with several alcohol bans and now has struck a deal with Shoprite.  

DA calls for resurfacing of R504

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Democratic Alliance called for the complete resurfacing of the R504 between Wolmaransstad and Schweizer-Reneke. This follows a DA oversight inspection of the R504. They described the road as a death-trap for motorists. Large stretches of the road have disintegrated.

Kaylie to hand over the crown

The beautiful Kaylie Fernandez is the longest serving Miss Klerksdorp in the history of the pageant. On Saturday July 2 she will at last be crowning her successor after the pageant could not be held for two years due to the pandemic. The popular local pageant will be held at Mayfair Village and for the first time, a Mrs Klerksdorp will also be crowned at the same event. There are 36 contestants.
