Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - South Africa’s top Drill, Dance and Majorettes athletes will showcase their talent this weekend at the SA Nationals being held at Hoërskool Wesvalia.

The Federation of Dance, Drill, Cheerleading and Majorette Sport South Africa (FDDCMSA) invites locals to attend the championship that kicks off on Saturday July 12. The opening ceremony will be held on Friday July 11.

More than 1 000 pre-primary, primary school, high school, and tertiary athletes from all over South Africa are expected at the event. The grand finale and closing ceremony will be on Thursday July 16.

Tickets are available via Quicket. Tickets are R70 per day for adults, R50 per day for pensioners and R30 per day for children younger than 12. 

A championship pass will set you back R360. The entire event will be broadcast on SuperSport Schools.

Klerksdorp Rekord, Orkney - ‘n Gholfdag om fondse in te samel vir Justice Otto Sorgoord word op 11 Julie by Orkney Gholfklub gehou.

Die spel sal in Better Ball Scramble Drive-formaat gespeel word. Die Justice Otto Sorgoord is ‘n nie-winsgewende organisasie geleë in Stilfontein, wat toegewyd is aan die versorging en huisvesting van bejaardes. 

 

Die sentrum is in 1996 gestig en staan steeds onder leiding van pastoor Michiel Erasmus. Tans bied die oord ‘n veilige hawe vir meer as 60 inwoners. Basiese mediese sorg, etes en skoonmaakdienste is ingesluit. 

Die oord ontvang geen staatsubsidie nie en is totaal afhanklik van inwoners se fooie en dit gaan soms broekskeur.

Al die wins wat met die gholfdag gemaak word sal aan die versorgingsoord oorhandig word. Groot pryse is op die spel. Twee kontantpryse van R50 000 elk is by twee putjies op die spel vir ‘n ‘’hole in one’’.
