Tommy triumphs at Sun City

Klerksdorp Record, Pilanesberg - Tommy Fleetwood waited 22 months for a win, and when it came it was big. The Englishman won the richest first-place cheque on the European Tour this week of US$2.5 million with his playoff victory in the Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player at the Gary Player Country Club on Sunday 17 November.

New home for parkrun

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The parkrun is moving to a new venue after 5 years and a few months of parkrunning at Makadu Restaurant and Golf World in La Hoff. The last event at Makadu will be held on 7 December and from 14 December the Bird Park opposite Hoërskool Wesvalia will be the new venue.

South African challenge at Sun City

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - After last weekend’s hotrod event was postponed to this weekend, Klerksdorp Raceway is excited about this weekend’s races. The club’s own drivers, Ruan Nagel and Riaan Labuschagne will be in action in Klerksdorp on Saturday 16 November.

Parkrun from strength to strength

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Klerksdorp parkrun, Event number 265 on 9 November saw 282 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 8 were first timers and 20 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 6 different clubs took part.
