Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Athletes from all over the country participated in the IBFF North West Classic this past weekend. Athletes competed in line-ups ranging from Miss Fitness Model and Miss Beach Bikini to ladies and mens bodybuilding. Spectators were in awe of the dedication and hard work these athletes have to go through to show off their bodies.

Stap hou ouma fiks

Helen Degenaar van Klerksdorp het die afgelope naweek haar 100ste Parkrun voltooi. Dié 78-jarige ouma het van Desember 2015 tot 4 Augustus, altesaam 500 km in parkruns afgelê. Haar kinders en kleinkinders is baie trots op haar. Helen sê sy geniet die parkruns baie en dit hou haar aan die gang en gesond. Sy is op die foto saam met haar seun, Koos en kleindogter, Anja wat haar 100ste parkrun saamgestap het. Helen is ‘n inwoner van Schoonspruit Aftreeoord.

Skole presteer in Virseker Beker

Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - Die Virseker Beker is ‘n kompetisie wat al 98 jaar aan die gang is en vir ‘n derde jaar in ‘n ry die Virseker-versekeringsmaatskappy as hoofborg het. Dit het voorheen as die Beeldtrofee bekendgestaan. Die Noordvaal skolerugby kompetisie is in volle swang en Klerksdorp se rugbyspanne het die afgelope naweek goed presteer.

Skolerugby - Trofee vir elke skool

Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - Die afgelope naweek het twee Klerksdorp skole deelgeneem aan die Noordwes Luiperd rugby finaal wat op Saterdag 21 Julie in Potchefstroom gehou is. Hoërskool Klerksdorp het twee spanne in die finaal gehad en Hoërskool Wesvalia het drie spanne gehad wat deelgeneem het aan die finaal.

Karate in Sasolburg

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Students from the Kosh Martial Arts Academy competed in Sasolburg recently. They won a total of 31 medals (11 gold, 14 silver and 6 bronze).
