Lentswe, Klerksdorp - The talented force that is Didintle Khunou (26) whom we saw in theatre during the successful run of the production of The Color Purple Musical, has not disappeared from our lives.

Until the end of January 2019, Lentswe readers will have the pleasure of watching her on Mzansi Magic’s successful telenovela, The Throne.

Didintle was born and raised in Klerksdorp and attended St Conrad’s College (now Curro).

This is not the first move to television for Didintle, she has previously been seen in the third season of Sotho drama, Mamello, on SABC2 and as a guest actor on Single Galz Season 2.

A performer who continuously strives for excellence and committed to her growth as a performer, Didintle is constantly finding new ways and platforms to expand her skill set, and this includes creating her own content through her company, G&K House.

There is no doubt that, she will excel in her new role and will bring to life her personal mantra of owning her magnitude.

If it had not been for the drama classes that offered a shy but curious child the opportunity to develop her confidence and ability to express herself, the world would perhaps not know the her name.

The actress admits that the challenge of stepping onto the stage inspired and transformed her each time.

A talent that has been able to create opportunities for herself, whether or not she was able to secure a role that she had auditioned for.

Didintle said she firmly believes in her faith and draws strength from it, and not placing too much focus on praise or critique from others.

An artist who will continue fine-tuning and presenting her craft until she is well into old age, Didintle understands the power that she has in her work and the impact that she is able to make on the lives of others.

South Africa television viewers and theatre lovers have not lost her to productions in distant lands just yet, but without a doubt, this artist who is forever curious about human beings is well on her way to achieving much more in her chosen field.

Catch Didintle on Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, The Throne at 19:00 Mondays to Thursdays.
