Freeing Khuma from drugs

Lentswe, Khuma -  Public order police members arrested three suspects on three separate cases involving drugs when they were busy with their routine crime prevention patrols around the township this week.

These arrests on Monday 19 August follow a tip-off the police received from a community member about a house at Tshwane Street, Ext 1 were drugs were allegedly sold.

They responded swiftly and on their arrival searched the house where 24 goove tablets and crystal meth were found as well as a cash amount of R2 790. A 32-year-old woman was arrested for dealing in drugs.

Further investigation led the police to another house at Tutu Street, Ext 7.

The house was also searched and the police found 44 goove tablets and a 19-year-old woman was arrested. Investigation also redirected the police to the third house at Lengana Street, Ext 8 where the search led to discovery of 32 full goove tablets,5 half goove and 6 quarter goove tablets and a cash amount of R359.

A 31-year-old man was arrested for dealing in drugs.

The total street value of all drugs is R7 680. The trio were expected to appear in Stilfontein court on 20 August to face charges of possession of and dealing in drugs.
