Prosecutor passes away

Lentswe, Jouberton - A prosecutor passed away from a heart attack after a long battle with diabetes.

The local National Prosecuting Authority’ senior prosecutor, Lefa Charles Marawa (54) of 987 Phelandaba Drive in Jouberton who was working in Qwaqwa in the Free State passed away on Thursday 30 November at Manapo Hospital.

He used to attend school at Bethel High where he completed his matric and proceeded to UNIBO where he graduated with a Bachelor degree.

‘Charlie’ as he was affectionately known, was the son of the late Maimane Klaas and Lydia Mosebi Marawa.

According to his younger brother, Arthur Marawa (43), his brother was a jolly person who was always good to his family.

Arthur said his brother was a fanatic soccer lover who used to follow the Free State professional Football team known as ‘Ealla Koto’ and called Free State Stars.

“My brother and his family had to stay in the Free State since he worked there. His wife who works as nurse together with their children were also there,” Arthur said.

He was married to Mmama Nthareso Marumo in 1988 and they were blessed with two children, Lerato (daughter) and son, Tebogo.

His funeral service will be held at Methodist Church in Jouberton from 07:00 on Saturday 9 December.
