Stilfontein Real Hearts beat fast

Lentswe, Rustenburg - The North West inter regional play-offs were held at Mogwase Stadium in the Bojanala Region on Sunday 8 July.

Four regional team winners locked horns to determine the two teams that will be promoted to the provincial ABC Motsepe League.

The host region, Bojanala was re-presented by United Brazilians FC, Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati delegated Taung Mega Stars FC, while Ngaka Modiri Molema sent Master Peace FC and the provincial champions, Dr Kenneth Kaunda were represented by Stilfontein Real Hearts FC.

In the first encounter that kicked off early, Stilfontein Real Hearts FC lashed United Brazilians FC 3 -1 to qualify first to the 2018/19 ABC Motsepe league finals. 

They were later joined at 12:00 by Master Peace FC by beating Taung Mega Stars FC 5-4 on penalties having drawn 3 all after regulation time.

The final clash for the day began at 16:00 between Stilfontein Real Hearts FC and Master Peace FC.

The two failed to score, but played to a draw in the regulation time and that’s when Stilfontein Real Hearts FC was the first to draw blood from their opponents during the kicks from the penalty mark.

All teams converted their chances till they reached a sudden death.

Stilfontein Real Hearts FC was catapulted into the first position in the provincial SAB championship by trouncing Master Peace FC 6-5 and filled their cabinet with the new trophy and gold medals.

The runner ups, Master Peace FC went home with a consolation trophy and silver medals whilst United Brazilians FC obtained bronze medals.

Stilfontein Real Stars FC goalie, Thami Daniso received a trophy as the “Goalkeeper of the Match”.

Thami was also selected to be the first choice goal minder of the region during the regional u/21 SAB Dr Kenneth Kaunda trials that were held at Alabama stadium on 7 July.

The owner of the winning club, Collen Mamabolo was pleased by his players who sent the club for the second time in ABC Motsepe League after failing on the first chance.

This time around Mamabolo said he is prepared to stay and compete like any other teams in that league.

This winning team was then invited to play against Mamelodi Sundowns FC (MultiChoice Diski Choice) which is normally called reserve side on Saturday 14 July.
