Schools sponsored with balls

Lentswe, Jouberton - Six Jouberton Primary schools were surprised by receiving soccer balls as donation from Klerksdorp United.

Each school got two new balls and they are Itirele Primary School, Tiang, Kakatlela, Zamukulunga, Mokolokotoane and Boitumelo.

According to the company’s spokeswoman Mamokgethi Sephaphathi, these primary schools were identified as the oldest schools in Jouberton.

Mamokgethi said the aim of donating this ball is huge for them as they are looking forward to develop soccer in townships and see PSL future stars arise from there.

Klerksdorp United made arrangements with these schools to start a tournament as soon as the schools re-open.

Schools teachers, coaches, sport coordinators and learners came to Itirele Primary School on Monday 16 March to accept the balls in the presence of Lentswe.

Teachers attended were Rabannye Tlale (Tiang), Matshaneng Melk, Julius Dhlamini (both from Itirele), Happy Moeketsi (Kakatlela), Thabo Msagala (Zamukulunga), Sello Mokhaloane (Mokolokotoane) and learners were Lesedi Selebe( Zamakulunga), Paballo Molato (Kakatlela), Gomolemo Soke (Itirele) and Mokolokotoane’s Siphiwe Ntshangase were also present.

These four learners who are also football players at the school said they are excited to have new balls at their schools as they find a chance to practice and play soccer after the re-opening of the school in April.
