The Volunteers in Mahikeng tried out the Parkrun track last Saturday after the track was approved for use by officials. Participants included popular comrades marathon winners and runners, Andrew and Gift Kelehe and several other former comrade runners. An official date will be announced soon for the Parkrun championship which will be preceded by the launched and official opening of the Parkrun Mahikeng by ten times winner of the comrades marathon, the world acclaimed Bruce Fordyc. Excitement in Mahikeng for the much talked about launch  has grown to unlimited heights  during recent weeks and members of the now famous Mahikeng Cleaning Campaign  who have taken over the cleaning campaign of the provincial city are ensuring that the capital city remains clean to welcome guests who are expected to flock in their hundreds to Mahikeng. Mahikeng residents have been requested to keep their areas clean and urged to stop dumping at restricted areas. Strict rules have been put in place and perpetrators found breaking the law will have to face the consequences of their acts.

As part of the PSA community commitment programme, the new Provincial Manager, Dickson Makolomakwe begun with the commitment of ensuring quality learning for the learning of students by donating jerseys, pens, sharpeners and pencil bags which come in handy to the learners at this time of the year.

MEC Desbo Mohono at one of the projects in Matlwang. Amongst the food security projects she handed to beneficiaries inclede a complete aquaponic unit with one ton of finger lings (fish), pond, feed, solar panel system and spinach seedlings as part of poverty alleviation initiative.

Lebogang Nakana, from North-West Mahikeng has been announced as a Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Semi-Finalist for 2019, out of a record number of entries received by the organisation.
