Moretele community to benefit from R7 million Buyback Centre

Mahikeng Mail-Cyferskuil: Moretele Local Municipality community was set to benefit from R7 million Buyback Centre, Minister for Environmental Affairs, Edna Molewa said during the World Environment Day (WED) held at Cyferskuil recently. The minister said the buyback centre which would be established at Mathibestad village would benefit the Moretele community in general. The minister has promised that due to the need to develop areas like Moretele, the centre, due to be established would “certainly not be the last one”.

Illegal initiation schools closed

Mahikeng Mail-Stella- The  small farming town of Stella almost came to a stand still on the chilly morning of Tuesday, June 24 . This after MEC for Culture, Arts and Traditional Affairs (CATA) in the North West Province Tebogo Modise together with her entourage made an unannounced  visit to an illegal initiation school.

Learners receive school uniform from Synchrocom in Madidi
