Christmas is around the corner and they are appealing to the goodwill of people.
The only time that Khaya Tshepo Home of Hope closes is for these four weeks of the year during the Christmas/New Year holidays. For the children who come from poverty stricken homes, it is a long time to go without the two daily nutritious meals that they are served.
To keep up their good health and their weight, they would like to pack 41 festive food parcels with staple items such as pap, rice, sugar, pasta, samp and oil - also tinned food such as beans, vegetables, chakalaka, fish and jam - packets of soya, soup and beans and luxuries such as jelly, chips, sweets, biscuits and cooldrinks.
Volunteers will be packing these goods on 4 and 5 December and they will be delivered to the homes of the children and their families on 12 and 13 December.
Your contributions can be delivered to Khaya Tshepo.
If you do not have the time to shop or you are too far away, contact 018 462 0172 and you can make a financial contribution towards this project.
