The market on Sunday 17 December is a celebration of creativity, taste and life through food, drinks, crafts and live music.
Visitors can expect to be blown away by a live band, rocking DJs, handmade jewellery and other beautiful crafts and to top it all, food stalls of mouth-watering food prepared by entrepreneurs who put passion, creativity and love in their crafts.
It will be a true celebration of African cuisine and a display of the spirit of entrepreneurship.
According to the founder, Puseletso Swartz, the market was born out of the need to empower local young entrepreneurs and at the same time celebrating food passion, music and creativity.
“Klerksdorp is suffering from high rates of youth unemployment but at the same time it is filled with opportunities for those who are willing to step forward.
“There’s an abundance of young entrepreneurs in Klerksdorp and one of the reasons their businesses don’t develop is due to lack of exposure to the relevant markets, lack of resources and funding; these young entrepreneurs also cannot afford business premises in the CDB.
“This Food and Lifestyle Market speaks to these problems and offers a practical, professional but fun way for young entrepreneurs to get their businesses off the ground”.
The market takes place once a month on Sundays from 09:00 to 17:00 and will offer food stalls, beverages, clothes, books, agriculture and art. The entrance
fee is R50 for adults and R20 for kids over 12.
