"Ladies" rob prosecutor

STELLALANDER - VRYBURG -  A prosecutor from Mahikeng got more than what he bargained for when he invited a couple of ladies he just met to his guesthouse room. According to local police, the prosecutor says he met the ladies in Huhudi and they then accompanied him to his accommodation on Tuesday (16 May). There they had, according to the prosecutor, a few drinks and he, allegedly, fell asleep.

No assistance for dying man

Stellalander-Vryburg – After no response for a call for help, a seriously ill man had to go to the local taxi rank in order to try and get to the hospital. Zero Goodboy Basime (44) had no choice but to get dressed and walked kilometers for help - only to be turned away at the taxi rank as well. Basime died shortly afterward at his home on Thursday (11 May).

Dorp dalk wéér in duister

Stellalander - Vryburg - Beweringe doen die rondte dat die dorp dalk nog so spoedig soos dié komende week gaan kennis kry dat Eskom weer beurtkrag, as gevolg van wanbetaling, gaan toepas. Stellalander het verneem dat die Naledi Munisipaliteit blykbaar nie by sy ooreenkoms met die elektrisiteitsvoorsiener bly nie en dat laasgenoemde dus nou weer homself tot die toepassing van beurtkrag gaan wend.

Man burned alive

Stellalander - Morokweng - Police here are investigating a case of murder after a man died here due to severe burns.The 36-year-old man was set alight at Tlapeng, a village close to Morokweng. According to police, the victim was able to make a statement before he succumbed to his injuries. The man told police he was standing at a hiking spot when a vehicle stopped next to him.

GIRL STRANGLED AND DUMPED

Stellalander - Vryburg - Police here are searching for the killer of a young woman.The body of the 21-year-old was discovered by a passer-by near the new power station at Extension 25 on Thursday (11 May). Initial investigations point to her death due to strangulation.The young woman was last seen alive the previous day at about 20:00 when she left her home.
