Four die in Kia crash

Stellalander - Vryburg - Four people, one of them a seven year-old child, died here when the vehicle they were traveling in, collided with a truck. According to Vryburg Police's liaison officer, Capt Charlize van der Linden, the accident occurred on Friday evening (21 July) at about 18:00.

COUNCILLORS, EMPLOYEES IN FISTICUF

Stellalander - Vryburg - Seven men will again appear here in court after they were arrested following a public punch up. The seven - four Naledi Local Municipal councillors and three Naledi Local Municipality employees - allegedly exchanged blows, resulting in one person having to be treated in hospital. According to Northwest police liaison officer, Lt Col Pelonomi Makau, a vehicle was also damaged during the altercation. Four cases of assault and one of malicious damage to property are being investigated.

Winkelier vermoor; Familie moet geld trek

Stellalander-Wolmaransstad – Die polisie ondersoek `n saak van moord  en huisroof nadat polisie na `n woonbuurt hier ontbied is. Die voorval het op Sondag (23 Julie) omstreeks 20:00 plaasgevind. Die polisie is ontbied en hulle is in kennis gestel dat daar `n moord by 'n woning in Noor Park plaasgevind het.

Bekende klerewinkel besteel

Stellalander - Vryburg - 'n Baie bekende klerewinkel in Markstraat is die naweek van sowat R200 000 se voorraad besteel. Die diewe het die winkel se alarm buitewerking gestel en daarna het hulle gate in die dak gemaak om toegang te verkry. Die diewe het, onder andere, meer as 40 pakke klere gebuit.

NALEDI: NEW MM's APPOINTMENT DECLARED ILLEGAL

Stellalander - Vryburg - The Northwest MEC for Local Government, Fenny Goalaolwe, intervened in the recent appointment of the municipal manager of the Naledi Local Municipality. In a letter to Mayor Neo Skalk, the MEC states that the appointment of Tshepo Bloom contravenes the Act which stipulates the requirements for an MM. Stellalander learned that, according to the interviews and competency tests by an independent agency, it was found that Bloom’s skills are “basic”, meaning “marginal/basic demonstration of competency…responses lack”.
