Jon and Tracey completed Amashova

Kwa-Zulu-Natal’s largest and most exciting cycling race, Amashova 2019 took place on 20 October 2019. Starting in Pietermaritzburg the route takes you through spectacular scenery on your way to the finish on Durban’s Golden Mile. Rustenburg Cycling Club (RCC) members were there to represent their club: Jon Andrews - 106km in 2:53 and Tracey Andrews - 106km in 3:22. It was hot on race day - 39 degrees Celcius.

RCC Juniors doing well

On 22 and 23 June, Rustenburg Cycling Club’s (RCC) juniors took part in the SA Road Championships in Durban and did extremely well. Pictured here are Travis de Lange, John-William Lang (12th U/19 men), Caitlin Thompson (second U/17 girls), Zander Conradie and Antonie Lit (20th U/19 men).

Tandem-wenners

Hennie Fourie en Phillip Wetzlar van Rustenburg Cycling het Sondag die “Fast One”-wedren met hul tandem in ‘n tyd van 3:34 gewen. Baie geluk aan hierdie twee fietsryers van Rustenburg.

Die Slote Bundu Trails en Hervormde Kerk Rustenburg-Suid wil graag almal wat die naweek se MX/ATV Funduro met hulle gedeel het, bedank vir ‘n super-lekker, hoogs suksesvolle dag. Elke deelnemer, besoeker, beampte en veral die borge word hartlik bedank. Baie geluk aan die verskillende klasse-wenners. Jaco Nel, Bertus Bylsma, Stefan Botha en Corné Saaiman. Maar onthou ook die “Mudfest” wat op 26 November 2016 plaasvind. Sien julle daar.
