Less claims for medical negligence in NW

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - The Department of Health introduced intervention plans and strategies to tackle and reduce cases of medical negligence in the province. The North West Department of Health MEC Dr Magome Masike said 46 new cases were registered between January and June 2017 amounting to R378 868 540 claimed. Compared to the same time this year, 37 claims amounting to R147 673 733 shows a decline due to various intervention strategies.
