Klerksdorp Rekord, Klerksdorp - ‘n Gesin van Oudorp is getraumatiseerd nadat hulle geliefde Jack Russel in hul erf doodgeskiet is. Die Jooste en Roux families bly saam op die kleinhoewe met sy uitsig oor Klerksdorp Gholfbaan. Dit was vroegoggend op 22 Junie toe hulle vir Rocket dood in die erf kry.

Sinkhole a hazard

Klerksdorp Record, Stilfontein - The sinkhole next to the N12 in Stilfontein is still not fixed or attended to after four years and residents are fed up with the situation. The first sinkhole was noticed in November 2015. An assessment by the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Disaster management committee revealed that the sinkhole was triggered by water leakage from the municipal pipeline in Doringkruin.

Traffic crisis on the N12 at Stilfontein

Klerksdorp Record, Stilfontein - The traffic on the N12 at Stilfontein is nearing a crisis as people don’t keep to the speed limit and accidents are common at the entrances into town off and onto the national road. The DA now wants to launch a petition requesting the municipality to install traffic lights at entrances into Stilfontein from the N12 to avoid accidents.

Sewage angers Stilfontein residents

Klerksdorp Record, Stilfontein - Raw sewage is flowing down Grey Street that runs directly into the Republic Park/Dam or better known as the “Pannetjie” in Stilfontein, causing serious pollution and health hazards. The smell in the residential area is unbearable for residents and no action has been taken for improving the system thus far.
