Klerksdorp Rekord, Hartbeesfontein - AfriForum se Hartbeesfontein-buurtwag het op Vrydag 14 Junie in samewerking met Hartbeesfontein Landelike Veiligheid daarin geslaag om ’n gesteelde voertuig op te spoor en aan die eienaar terug te besorg. Dit volg nadat die voertuig tydens ’n rooftog by die Econo-vulstasie in Hartbeesfontein gesteel is.

New councillor

The Dr Kenneth Kaunda district municipality’s welcomed Thapelo Mosothoane who was sworn-in as a councillor at the district municipality council chamber in Orkney on Thursday 13 June by Orkney Regional Court Magistrate, Motlatsi Mofokeng. Cllr Mosothoane replaces one of the long serving members of the District Council, Nombuyiselo Adoons, who represented the ANC and served as the Chairperson of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC). Adoons has been deployed as a Member of the National Parliament.

City’s most wanted behind bars

Klerksdorp Record, Orkney - One of the province’s most wanted suspects, John Khoza (37) was arrested on Monday 10 June in Kanana. The operation was intelligence driven and a stabilization team comprising of Rapid Rail, National Intervention (NIU), Crime Intelligence, K9 Unit, Klerksdorp Crime Combatting Unit as well as Cluster and Kanana Detectives arrested Khoza for cases of house breaking, theft, possession of suspected stolen properties and illegal possession of a firearm.

Former Miss Klerksdorp Teen Cimoné Petersen encourages young beauties to enter the Miss Klerksdorp Record competition. The winner takes home R5 000 (see more details inside). The beautiful Cimoné is a finalist in the Miss Queen of SA pageant that will be crowned on Sunday 16 June at Emperor’s Palace.
