“We are honored and privileged to visit the cancer warriors at Klerksdorp hospital, and bring some joy to them,” Phelophepha Train Manager Lynette Flusk said.
One of the cancer patient, Kelebogile Kgwaile said: “We are overjoyed by the presence of Phelophepa management who came to motivate us. They reminded us that we are not alone in this journey, and further create hope that cancer can be beaten if early detected. They also reminded us to encourage ourselves and that we must not speak defeat over our lives.”
Flusk said: “Our thoughts are with you during this time. Think positive and have faith in God.”
She further advised them to fight against cancer and become a survivor.
The Phelophepha Train of Hope is in Klerksdorp until Friday 19 July.
“The train offers free cancer screening such as pap smear, prostate and breast and cancer education and awareness, including medicine dispensary at R5 only,” Flusk said.
