Mahikeng Local Municipality supports makeover initiative

MAHIKENG MAIL-MAHIKENG: In recent months, the residents of Golf View, Riviera Park, Aslaagte, Libertas and the CBD have embarked on a vigorous major cleaning campaign. The Mahikeng Local Municipality has been in support of this initiative since its inception and regularly assists with cleaning material and machinery where needed.

MAFIKENG MAIL – MAHIKENG:  Moral Regeneration School Outreach campaign continues this week in Dr Kenneth Kaunda and Bojanala Platinum District, with a sharp focus on gangsterism and acts of violence, which is a problem in some of the schools in these districts, particularly in Matlosana Local Municipality.

Measures to support struggling municipalities

Traditional councils finally win government’s support

MAFIKENG MAIL – MAHIKENG: North West MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Mothibedi Kegakilwe announced last week that the offices of  Batlharo Ba-Ga Masibi, Barolong baga Phoi and Batlhaping baga Maidi traditional councils in the North West were  ready to be handed over.
