Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Applications are now open for the 2021 academic year at Potchefstroom College of Agriculture (PCA) and Taung Agricultural College (TAC).

The two state owned colleges in the province are tasked with training young people with zeal for agriculture. Since their establishment, the institutions continue to thrive in the training sphere and continue to live up to its vision of being leading centres of excellence in training.

Taung Agricultural College offers a Diploma in Agriculture in Irrigatio, a 3-year Qualification (NQF level 6) with the following Modules: Plant Production: Animal Production, Soil Sciences, Agricultural Management and Irrigation. The admission requirements for TAC are Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics (E), Mathematics Literacy (D), English (E), Life Science/Agricultural Science (E) and Physics (E) or an equivalent of Grade 12 certification.

Potchefstroom College of Agriculture offers a Diploma in Agriculture (Mixed Agriculture) 3 yrs Qualification (NQF level 6) with the following Modules: Animal Production, Agricultural Engineering/Trades, Agricultural Management and Plant Production. The admission Requirements for PCA are Grade 12: certificate/statement depicting symbols. Equivalent certificate or higher. Grade 11: Final Result and/or Grade 12: June Record Exam for Provisional Selection. Compulsory Subjects: Afrikaans or English, Agricultural Sciences and/or Agricultural Management Practices, and/or Agricultural Technology.

Recommended Subjects: Accountancy, Biology, Business Management, Economics, Engineering Geography, Mathematics, Mathematical Literacy/ (minimum rating of 4) and physical Science. * Excluding Life Orientation.
