Become a soccer referee

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - SAFA is calling on all young and aspirant men and women to become referees. Soccer matches are incomplete when there are no referees and the latter form an integral part of each match played.

SAFA Dr K Kaunda region extends its invitation to all people irrespective of co-lour, race or creed to register for becoming referees. Recruitment courses are being held during the off season and this is the time they get those interested to be trained as referees to contact their local football associations and submit their names.

Individuals can register their details to Kabelo Malilimetsa of Matlosana LFA at 079 652 7232, Phashi Phokomusi of Maquassie Hills local football at 072 660 3950 and Carlos Molungoa of JB Marks local football association at 082 856 0908.

SAFA Dr K Kaunda region invites everyone interested from surrounding farm and village areas to register as referees.
The last time this region had a professional referee in the elite leagues was Jerry Ngwenya who relocated to Matlosana LFA from Mafikeng. George Oliphant and Khumoetsile Knox Matsime also hoisted the flag for this region to the greater heights.
