An ex-learner and headgirl of Curro Klerksdorp returned to her roots after playing hockey for SA at the Olympics. Lerato Mahole presented the school with a beautifully framed memorabilia and Olympic worn match shirt that has found a permanent home in the school hall.

Her school hockey coach, Jaryd Hammond, said: “Lerato always worked hard, put many hours into practice. I am extremely proud of her”. She is studying at the University of Pretoria and her siblings are also at Curro Klerksdorp. Here she is seen with her high school coach.
