Onwettige vuurwapens en ammunisie in Morokweng gekonfiskeer
STELLALANDER-GANYESA: Twee verdagtes sou na verwagting in die Ganyesa-landdroshof verskyn op aanklagte van onwettige besit van vuurwapens en ammunisie.
Die verdagtes is in twee afsonderlike voorvalle in die vroeë oggendure van Dinsdag, 23 Desember 2025, in Morokweng-dorp buite Vryburg in hegtenis geneem. Die arrestasies het gevolg op ’n misdaadintelligensie-gedrewe operasie deur lede van die Vryburg K9-eenheid en die Misdaadvoorkomingseenheid. Die een verdagte, ’n 38-jarige man, is in besit gevind van ’n ongelisensieerde pistool en vyf patrone.

Combined efforts leads to success
STELLALANDER-KATHU: The swift response by members of the South African Police Service in Kathu, in conjunction with Rhino Security Company, led to the recovery of suspected stolen property and the arrest of two individuals aged 35 and 32-years-old.
On Thursday, 1 January 2026, the police followed up on information regarding a house in Mapoteng where alleged stolen property was stored. Together with the private security company, the SAPS members operationalised the information and approached the identified residence.

Drug busts result in multiple arrests
STELLALANDER-A crime intelligence-driven operation conducted by the Crime Combating Operational Team led to the arrest of four suspects, including a woman, for possession of drugs and suspected stolen property.
The arrests followed police searches at several premises in Meriting New Stands, Seraleng and Ramochana within the Boitekong policing area on Thursday morning, 25 December 2025. During the operation, three suspects were found in possession of various illicit substances, including mandrax, dagga, crystal meth and rock, with an estimated street value of R15 000. Police also confiscated R860 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of crime.
