  • Fighting fit

    It was a tough title fight at Klerksdorp Fight Night on Saturday September 7 when Zhane Tannous and Josiah Obasi got in the ring for the Light Heavyweight Klerksdorp Fight Night title. The fight lasted five rounds with Tannous winning by unanimous judges’ decision. He won R10 000. With nine other bouts on the fight card spectators were treated to next level entertainment for the evening. Popular electronic duo Van Pletzen closed the evening off with a lively performance.     Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - Terwyl ʼn effense afplatting in misdaad luidens die polisie se jongste statistiek verwelkom word, bly toenemende ernstige misdaad teen vroue en kinders en plaasmoord steeds ʼn ernstige probleem. In die eerste kwartaal van die 2024/25-finansiële jaar het al drie kategorieë misdaad teenoor vroue en kinders toegeneem teenoor die ooreenstemmende tyd verlede jaar.

     

  • March for better service delivery

    Klerksdorp Midweek, Stilfontein - The residents of this town are invited to join a peaceful march to demand better service delivery.
    The march, organised by a NPO called Stilfontein Alive, will take place on Tuesday September 17 and it will start at 09:00 on the corner of Lanyon and Stilfontein Road. The march will end at the Stilfontein Municipal Offices.
