Klerksdorp Midweek, Pilanesberg - The famous dance competition, The Battle of the Giants, is taking place this week. It has been renamed to International Dance Organisation (IDO) African Championship:  Battle of the Giants. The dance competition will take place until July 3. The South African Body of Dance (SABOD) and International Dance Organisation (IDO) are thrilled to share an extraordinary announcement that promises to redefine the dance landscape in Africa, and introducing the inaugural event, IDO African Championships – Battle of the Giants Dancing event, being hosted at the legendary Sun City resort.

Klerksdorp Midweek, Klerksdorp - The 98th Comrades Marathon is in the bag and the winners are famous faces and close to home!
Gerda Steyn won the women’s race and she is a farmer’s daughter from Bothaville! The ever-smiling “blonde assassin” ran most of the race in second place, waiting for the time to strike. She won her fourth Comrades in five hours, 19 minutes. Tete Dijana, a security guard working on the NWU Mahikeng campus, won his third Comrades in a time of five hours, 25 minutes and 28 seconds.
