One of the Founders, Dumisane Mogorosi said “Our events has grown bigger and better since its instalment. We have throughout appreciated the support from fans across the country and Africa coming together to celebrate this magnificent events. We are expecting thousands of bikers, over 200 bicycles and many other who are coming to celebrate this big moment with us. With over a thousand bikers flocking in Mahikeng an economic boost of to R5 million is generated for the local economy from your hotels, guest houses, garages, shops and many other which show how big and critical for government to invest in such projects”.
Echoing on Mogorosi words Sandile Nkonqa (Maestro) who is also the founder said “We have in the past made this event free and due to lack of support from the provincial government to become strategic partners of this event. Departments such Economic Development, Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sports Recreation, Social Development are critical stakeholders which need to invest in this project to give it a boost. So far the department’s attitude and resentment to make us grow this event has effected attaching a price of R100 for entry in this year music festival. However participation of many other activities will be free such offering free stalls to the local businesses and community for economic growth as they come sell their products. We are forever hopeful to see the government refraining from its attitude of not supporting local ideas and opportunities for the local economy”.
The Bokone Bophirima Bikers Tours welcomed and encouraged the community to grab opportunity to part of the much anticipated event whether it was through ideas and programmes which intends to grow the event bigger and better.
Tickets are found at Computicket for R100 for entry, VIP R150 and Cooler Box R100 for the main and music festival as part of the charity support.
