MAHIKENG MAIL-MAHIKENG: Mahikeng Local Municipality as part of celebrating 30 years of democracy officially handed over title deeds to the communities of Matsatseng (Slurry) and Ottoshop.
The long wait from Matsatseng (Slurry) and Ottoshop became a moment of joy and praise when the Executive Mayor, Tshepiso Mphehlo finally handing their land papers. The newly acquired land will be used to develop a school as well as providing a residential areas for the local community.
The communities of both areas expressed their gratitude to the municipality for their efforts in finally owning the land.
The Municipality would like to thank the PPC Group for their contribution of funding the purchase of the land in Matsatseng which was privately owned by different individuals.
