MAHIKENG MAIL-MAHIKENG: Autism South Africa, in partnership with Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, hosted a workshops for 21 parents and caregivers of autistic children on Saturday from D.P Moloto and Resomaretse Special Schools, in Lehurutshe.
The Autism workshop focused on dysregulated behaviour, sensory difficulties, importance of routines and structure as well as engaging children on how to play with one another.
Each parent received a box full of useful resources to use and play with their children as part of advocating for the children’s right to play as it also helps with the development of motor and basic skills.
