BONUS - RUSTENBURG - The saying of "Your blood saves lives" is synonymous with the South African National Blood Services (SANBS), however, not many people realise just how important it is to donate blood until a loved one (or they themselves) are lying in a hospital bed with an urgent need for a blood transfusion.
With the festive season around the corner and unfortunately, the reality of many road accidents on the cards, the need for blood donation is greater than ever.
Kasi Ride celebrates healthy living
The third annual GM Kasi Ride took place this past weekend on 27 October in and around the Sun City Resort. The GM Kasi Ride aims to prioritise the importance of mental health and saw individuals of all ages and fitness levels gathered on a very hot weekend to partake in either the 21km or 43 km cycling race, the 21km or 10km road running or the 5km Fun Walk/Run. BONUS - RUSTENBURG - Mukhanyo Theological College is a multi-denominational Christian academic institution, with a vision to serve the church in southern Africa by providing accredited, in-depth Bible training to church leaders and Christians.

SAPS requests public to consider matric exam period
BONUS - RUSTENBURG - The North West Provincial Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (PROVJOINTS) led by the South African Police Service (SAPS), officially launched the annual Safer Festive Operation in Mahikeng on Thursday, 17 October. The operation commenced on 1 October 2024 and will come to a close on 31 January 2025.
As part of a holistic, integrated social crime prevention and combating strategy, the operation will be executed in an intelligence phased approach.
Karabo eager for more Boxer Super Run action, this time in Tshwane
BONUS - RUSTENBURG - After marking her Boxer Super Run debut with a victory in Durban on Sunday, 13 October, elite runner Karabo More from Boxer Athletics Club is primed for round two.
This time, she’s set to compete at the second annual Boxer Super Run in Tshwane, taking place at TUKS (Uitspan) on Sunday, 10 November 2024.
By winning the Boxer Super Run in Durban, Karabo More set a new personal best of 16:16.
