NOORDWESTER – BIESIESVLEI - Biesiesvlei SAPS held a Pre-Easter service. The scourge of drug abuse, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Femicide has gripped the community, hence the Spiritual Crime Prevention Forum provided guidance by engaging different churches to combat these crimes. 
South African Police Service (SAPS), in partnership with the Community Police Service (CPF) accompanied by the Community in Blue Patrollers observed the death of Christ on Sunday, 24 March at the Uniting Reformed church in conjunction with the seven statements from the cross.  

Reverend Morake, the Chairperson of Spiritual Crime Prevention Forum, opened the event in a word of prayer as well as laying the foundation for the breeding ground. Mr Moruri, the Ward Counsillor, welcomed all attendees followed by Sergeant Motlogelwa who highlighted on the purpose of the gathering which is to pray for substance abuse, GBV and assaults. 
Moreover, the seven statements from the cross were delivered by Preacher Tubane, Preacher Mokgosi, Preacher Solane, Bishop Matloutu, Reverend Mogola, Preacher Marope, Reverend Nyakgosi, Reverend Hoffman, Bishop Rantong, Preacher Qopokane, Brother Matebele, Brother Tau, Brother Monageng, Preacher Gama and Bishop Matsi. Bishop Lentsho concluded the sermon and Warrant Officer Mogapi the Acting Station Commander rendered the vote of thanks.
