MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG: The North West Provincial Government is gearing up for the revived North West Agricultural Show, scheduled to take place from Thursday, (tomorrow) 18 September to 20 September, in Vryburg. 
MEC Madoda Sambatha emphasised that the event is more than just a gathering but a strategic intervention, as  well as an economic and developmental platform that showcases the province’s agricultural prowess.

Vryburg was chosen as the permanent home for the show due to its rich agricultural heritage, fertile land and strategic location with the key objectives of providing farmers with access to markets, technology and investment opportunities; youth empowerment to inspire young people to pursue careers in agriculture and support emerging farmers and economic growth to position the North West Province as a hub for agricultural innovation, food security and job creation. The event will feature exhibitions, master classes and one-on-one sessions with financial institutions and industry leaders.
 It aims will promote agricultural development, sustainability and inclusivity while showcasing the province’s agricultural muscle. 
Small-scale and emerging farmers will also have direct opportunities to engage with buyers, financial institutions and investors.
The North West Provincial Government has allocated significant funding to support agricultural initiatives including R1.276 billion for the 2025/26 financial year as an investment meant to boost food security, rural development and economic growth in the province.
