BONUS - RUSTENBURG - The Bojanala District Thuntsha Lerole (The Accelerated Service Delivery Programme) was held on Friday, 7 November, in Ward 43, which includes Nkandla, Seraleng, Meriting, and Freedom Park townships, coinciding with an ongoing Rustenburg Local Municipality’s City at Work, also a service delivery program implemented at local level.
The Thuntsha Lerole program was led by the Bojanala District Municipality, partnering with the Rustenburg Local Municipality, with the participation of Mayors, Ward Councillors, and Members of Mayoral Committees (MMCs) from both municipalities.
Ward 43 was given access to services from two joint government programs despite some of the planned service delivery activities being called off as a result of unfavourable weather conditions.
With the participation of different sector departments and the NW Office of the Premier, many services were provided, giving ward 43 broader access to government services.
The services included, among others, handing over of food parcels to both indigent and needy families, and walking sticks; patching of potholes; road markings; unblocking sanitary sewer systems; repairing leaking water pipes; grass cutting; and business compliance inspection.BONUS - RUSTENBURG - The Bojanala District Thuntsha Lerole (The Accelerated Service Delivery Programme) was held on Friday, 7 November, in Ward 43, which includes Nkandla, Seraleng, Meriting, and Freedom Park townships, coinciding with an ongoing Rustenburg Local Municipality’s City at Work, also a service delivery program implemented at local level.
