BONUS - RUSTENBURG – The two suspects arrested in connection with the murder of an elderly couple, Mr and Mrs Koster, at a well-known shopping centre in Rustenburg were denied bail by the Rustenburg Magistrates Court on Friday, 11 July. The two men, 29-year-old and 41-year-old were arrested a few days after the incident, and police managed to recover the vehicle and the firearm used in the commission of the crime.
The incident, according to information received, followed and altercation that ensued between the couple and the suspects. The suspects then shot the couple and fled the scene. They were arrested in Boitekong and Rustenburg East respectively on 18 June.
Sgt Ofentse Mokgadi, Rusten-burg police Spokesperson said the hearing of the two suspects arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Mr George Koster and his wife Mrs Wilma Koster was heard on Friday, 11 July.
“The matter has been postponed to Tuesday, 15 July, for judgement. Both suspects remain in custody pending the outcome,” Mokgadi concluded.
