At the Auditor-General South Africa (AGSA) Awards Ceremony held last Friday, ACSR, led by MEC Galerekwe Virginia Tlhapi, accompanied by Head of Department Itumeleng Mogorosi and Chief Financial Officer Pulane Mojaki, proudly walked away with three accolades in recognition of the department’s Clean Audit Outcome.
Mmabana Foundation’s top bodybuilding achievers
MAFIKENG MAIL – MAHIKENG: A few months ago, approximately 23 Mmabana bodybuilders participated in an International Federation of Body Builders (IFBB) body building fitness challenge in Pretoria for provincial team selection. All of them qualified to represent the province nationally in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
They were all awarded with podium positions in their respective contests with five of them selected to represent the country at the 2025 IFBB World Fitness Championships in Barcelona, Spain in November.
Dr Mohono attends Chinese Investment, Trade Fair
MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG: The Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature, Dr Desbo Mohono, has concluded a week-long visit to China where she attended the 15th China Henan International Investment and Trade Fair (CHIITF).
Dr Mohono emphasised the importance of promoting cooperation and development between South Africa and China.
Sabotage and crime in NTI
MAHIKENG MAIL - MAHIKENG: The Portfolio Committee on Community Safety and Transport Management in the North West Provincial Legislature, chaired by Freddy Sonakile, has concluded its two-day oversight visit to the North West Transport Investment (NTI), a provincial transport entity that has been trapped in business rescue for four years.
“We condemn, without hesitation, the burning of NTI buses. This is not vandalism, it is sabotage. Just hours after we were told the entity can still be saved and its fleet repurposed, three buses were torched.
