On Tuesday, 19 March, Brits experienced major water shortages due to continuous problems at the Madibeng Water Works and Onalenna Day & Night Centre in Ludorf Street, Brits with toddlers and pre-primary learners was stuck without drinking water and water to flush the toilets. After the owner, Lydia Kgafela called the municipality and told them about the predicament, a water truck was sent to assist.

Rose Ditshego and Grace Mashapa (employees at Onalenna), Lydia Kgafela (owner) and Neo Ramagafu (Madibeng) all smiles after the crisis was averted.
