Injured paramedic helps accident victims

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - A horrific multiple-vehicle accident on the N12 highway took place about 20 km outside the city last week. Seven people sustained various, serious injuries but non were fatal. The accident occurred at 19:50 on Thursday 15 February. A TAC-Pulse ERS ambulance was on a routine patrol heading from Klerksdorp towards Wolmaransstad on the N12 when in front of them, a head-on collision took place involving a motor vehicle and a bakkie with a trailer carrying livestock. As a result of this incident, the ambulance was caught up in the ensuing carnage.

Refuse removal to commence

Skierlik squatters to be evicted

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - An eviction notice giving residents of Alabama Ext 5 (Skierlik informal settlement) 14 days to vacate the area has sparked outrage from them. Disgruntled squatters marched onto the municipal buildings on Tuesday afternoon 20 February demanding to speak to the acting director of housing, Peter Phala.

Cop murder: one suspect granted bail

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Three suspects who were arrested for the murder of a police officer appeared in court again this week. Klerksdorp Cluster Trio Task Team in partnership with Klerksdorp Detectives arrested the three suspects aged between 27 and 35 on 6 February in Gauteng.
