Klerksdorp Record, Orkney - In another shooting in town, a man was gunned down while walking on a sidewalk near a popular fast food restaurant and the busy taxi terminus.
The shooting was reported just after 19:00 on Saturday March 23.
A woman who stays in Charlotte Maxeke Street near where the murder happened told Klerksdorp Record it sounded like fireworks exploding on New Year’s Day when she heard the gunshots.
Brig Sabatha Mokgwabone, police spokesperson, said the victim was approached by four unknown men, all armed with handguns. “The men allegedly opened fire on the victim and fled the scene in two vehicles. Preliminary investigation showed that the victim was shot multiple times. The motive is unknown and no arrest has been made. Investigations are underway."
The police did not disclose the victim’s identity.

Scammers busted in police operation
Klerksdorp Record, Jouberton - Eight people were arrested for their involvement in a crime syndicate that attempted to scam a man into buying a vehicle from them but all they wanted was his money.
Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone, police spokesperson, reported that Crime Intelligence interviewed the victims of the crime following the attempted armed robbery that occurred in Jouberton last month.
