What really happened at the Mall - SAPS close case

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp – SAPS have already closed the investigation into an alleged armed robbery inside a local franchise in Matlosana Mall on Friday 29 March. Police spokesperson, Sgt Amogelang Mabihi, told Klerksdorp Record that the claim by the victim that she was robbed of her belongings at gunpoint did not hold water.

Three transit robbers in court

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Three men arrested in connection with a cash in transit heist last week at Choppies, appeared in the Klerksdorp Magistrate’s Court this week. The appearance of Lwazi Ngonyama (40), Moses Thenjwayo (63) and Kutlwano Mohale (26) on 1 April follows their arrest on Friday 29 March in Soweto and Kagiso respectively for a cash in transit robbery that took place in Klerksdorp on 25 March.

Traffic cop arrested for taking a bribe

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp – A well-known traffic official from Khuma was arrested after he allegedly accepted a bribe from a truck driver over the weekend. According to Sgt Amogelang Mabihi, police spokesperson, the incident took place at around 20:30 on Friday 29 March.
