Riot victim survives attack

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - During last week’s violence between the taxi drivers and the foreign nationals, at least two people were confirmed dead. Bystanders who took photographs with their cellphones, also suffered abuse and some phones were damaged. A victim of a stabbing who was found lying on the pavement in Noord Street before he was taken to hospital in an ambulance, was apparently attacked while talking on his cellphone.

Klerksdorp teken die skerpste styging in seksuele aanranding aan met ‘n styging van 200% wat die stad vierde in die land plaas. Klerksdorp kan darem spog met die beste eenheid vir gesinsgeweld, seksuele oortredings en kinderbeskerming in die land wat meeste van hierdie sake ondersoek.

Household items cause for some sewage bursts

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Klerksdorp and surrounding areas are faced with various difficulties pertaining to service delivery and maintenance of sewage pipes and leakages thereof. Klerksdorp Record receives numerous calls on a weekly basis of individuals complaining about raw sewage flooding the streets and even several houses in the area. After an investigation by Cllr Wolfgang Walhorn in wards 17 and 39 he found that household refuse, rocks and plastic bags thrown down drains are causing the blockages, now it seems that household refuse are causing some of these blockages.

It’s a wrap

Klerksdorp Record, Klerksdorp - Shooting on a new locally-produced and filmed movie has finished and it should be on DStv in 2019! Big Bank Productions completed principal photography on Friday 14 September and “Magic Moon” should be seen on Mzansi Magic. The film is mostly in Setswana with some dialogue in English. The film was conceptualized in Klerksdorp and 80% of the cast are from the North West.
