Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Indeed, a promise of a heavenly and spiritual experience was fulfilled to the people of Matlosana through the Ultimate Gospel Festival that was brought by Amahubo (The Psalmist) and Friends at the Auditorium on Saturday October 21.
The show started with special performances from the likes of the Vaal’s Nombuso, artists from Rustenburg and local artists from Stilfontein and Jouberton. But the showstopper was brightened by the two former finalists of Idols SA, Diamara (Vryburg) and Innocentia Sibi (Khuma) with their sweet voices. How can one forget the maturely experienced Oaratwa Monye (Mahikeng) who sang like a legendary gospel artist?

Sipho Ngwenya became the first star to shine when he took the stage by the storm.
The legendary Ngwenya was called back for an encore after finishing his set. The crowd wanted to hear his hit track ‘Ebenheazer’ before he could leave Klerksdorp.

Keke Phoofolo brought more fireworks with his usual active performance on stage. Taking the stage by knocking all of its corners, running to the fans and bringing some energy to fans are his signing card.

“Gatekeepers of our industry will try to stop your career, but as long as God keeps you alive as a human being, you’ll then manage to continue with your career,” Phoofolo said.

An active and powerful Phoofolo who has been out of the music industry for at least a period of more than 10 years, confirmed that he managed to ‘beat’ depression, and divorce among others. He further invited his fans to come and watch him next month, 18 November at Soweto where his next performance will be.

During Phoofolo’s hot performance, Lentswe spotted some of the fans kneeled and praying.
The host, Amahubo and William Sejake had to close the show during midnight with a high note performance and also left fans looking for more songs.

The occasion was also graced by the Matlosana Executive Mayor James Tsolela.
Amahubo said he thanked Matlosana municipality, the provincial department of Arts, Culture, Sports and Recreation, and Lentswe together with everyone who supported his event.
