A farewell function for Rev Jonas Sephai and mother Kay Sephai took place as they retired from ministry at St Anne Anglican Church in Stilfontein. They were serving a full decade in His calling. Lentswe, Jouberton - The Khayalethu Primary School hosted a successful Grade R parents event this week. The Grade R Teacher presented a Robotics Day where parents, teachers, and learners gathered to explore the exciting world of robotics and technology. The NWU collaborated on the event. Community builder Rethabile Ngwenya was also in attendance, motivating and encouraging young minds to embrace innovation and future-ready skills.

Illegal initiation schools targeted ahead of Summer
Lentswe, Mahikeng - The North West Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA), in partnership with the Provincial Initiation Coordinating Committee (PICC) and various stakeholders, concluded a crucial State of Readiness session in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Summer Initiation Season. The session, which took place on Wednesday November 12, aimed to significantly strengthen coordination amongst all role players. The central focus is on ensuring that comprehensive precautionary measures are implemented to reduce the proliferation of illegal initiation schools, guarantee compliance with regulations, and ultimately safeguard the lives of initiates throughout the season.
