Lentswe, Jouberton - Ex Health Workers Club members came together to celebrate the birthday of one of their eldest members who turned 96! Dikeledi Martha Montsho started working at the Klerksdorp, Tshepong Hospital Complex in 1968, rendering service in CSD (Central Sterilizing Department) and presenting herself as a hardworking, dedicated and well-disciplined member of the personnel. She retired from work in 1992. The ex-health workers club formed in August 2003. It was founded by Matlaleng Sarah Rakumakoe who retired from work after serving the complex as a matron. The club’s motto is “Steadfast we stand, conquerors we become”.

Lentswe, Alabama - The URCSA Alabama Youth Brigade competed in the ninth annual Drill & Orchestra Competition of the GP Region in Lichtenburg, Blydeville, where they proudly claimed second place among eight competing groups. The brigade brought home a trophy in every category they entered, totalling an impressive 18 trophies: eight 1st places, five 2nd places, three 3rd places, a special award for toddlers, and the overall 2nd place trophy.

Tshedimosetso Secondary School held their annual pageant celebration. Mbolekwa Lunga was crowned first prince, Mokopanele Koketso first princess, King Tladi Stoffel is Mr Tshedimosetso, Queen Ndaba Sinqobile is Ms Tshedimosetso, and Matsie Onthatle was crowned second prince and Kgobe Seapei second princess.

Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Bataung NW branch launched on September 14. They congregated in remembrance of their history, culture and customs. Bataung from all walks of life attended with one spirit - one was the heart and one was the mind expose national lamentation and submit them to the Lord of the meek, the poor in spirit. The NW committee was launched and the royal families of FS and Matlwang were present. 
All came to an understanding of forming Lekgotla la Bataung la Africa Borwa (SA Bataung Council). 

A new service club launched in Ward 8 (Morutoage Street, Jouberton) on September 30. The objectives of the Older Persons Forum are to promote active aging by exercising and other activities, to be the voice of the voiceless for older people, the abused and the neglected. Joy Galeboe, Marta Leshomo, Rose Mahlatsi, Jessy Witkoei, Lebo Sindi, Eva Segoe, Tshidi Tladi, Malejuda Moremogolo, Emily Mei, Pulane Kgotle, Mr Sindi and Mr Mohala were at the launch.
