Lentswe, Jouberton - A teenager in the township tasted tinned fish while her aunt was cooking with it. It tasted “weird.”. According to Patience Galane, Asanda tasted the tinned fish on Tuesday October 17 and she started feeling ill very quickly. That’s when she checked the expiration date. “The fish expired in March this year, but it was still on the shelves. I went to the tuckshop to complain and asked the owner to take the tins off the shelf. What if a child dies after eating  it?”
She went back to the shop and the stock was indeed removed from the shelf. She intends to go with the owner to the store where he bought it.

She is calling on health inspectors to visit Jouberton as this can be very dangerous to sell expired goods.

It could have been so much worse. At the time of writing, Asanda was feeling much better.
