Lentswe, Klerksdorp - A new NPO called Seriti Sa Mosadi was launched in the city last weekend. Run by Daphney Qonde, who is working at the NW Department of Health as the Deputy Principal of NW CoEC (College of Emergency Care), the NGO wants to empower women. Seriti Sa Mosadi means Dignity of a Woman. According to Qonde, sanitary pads is a luxury that underprivileged women cannot afford. They donated these pads during the launch at the Protea Hotel on Saturday May 24.

She described the NPO as striving to empower humanity with dignity through passion, compassion, empathy and humor.

“We are partnering with other organizations to restore dignity and hope to the people in need,” she said.
