Lentswe, Klerksdorp - Khuma local Palesa Lehasa finished her first Comrades in a time of 10:08, earning her a bronze medal. She fell short of her own target of finishing under 10 hours and missed the Robert Mtshali medal by just over 8 minutes. “But I am proud of my achievement as a novice.  “The experience was exhilarating, and I’m thrilled to have pushed myself to the finish line. I’ll use this as a learning experience to refine my training and aim for sub-10 hours in future Comrades Marathons.’’ She thanked her supporters, friends, family, church, colleagues and team and training partners for their support. She is a member of Tlokwe AC and lives in Khuma.
